Your first visit includes a detailed assessment of your symptoms, injury history, balance, eye movements, neck function, exertion tolerance, and how concussion is affecting school, work, exercise, or sport.
From there, your physiotherapist builds an individualized plan that may include vestibular and vision exercises, balance training, neck treatment, graded aerobic exercise, symptom-management strategies, and a progressive return to activity.
Concussion recovery looks different for everyone, so treatment is based on the specific systems contributing to your symptoms.
Depending on what we find, rehab may target vestibular function, eye movements, balance, neck-related symptoms, exercise intolerance, or sensitivity to motion and busy environments. Treatment is progressed gradually as your tolerance improves, with the goal of helping you safely return to work, school, exercise, and sport.
